Albanian Agency of Investment Development reorganized

Under the direction of Prime Minister Sali Berisha and in continuation of economic reforms, especially those dealing with promotion, support and services to foreign and domestic investment, and reviewed the task force decided to propose to the Council of Ministers a draft new law on Tuesday.
 
The purpose of this draft proposal is the creation of the Albanian Agency for Investment Development (AIDA).  According to him, the Albanian Agency of Investment Development (AIDA) is a legal person, public budget, which is directed by the Board of Directors and consists of representatives of public and private economic sector.
Agency activity focuses mainly on these areas:
a)         Facilitation and support of direct investment in Albania, through the identification and promotion of investment opportunities, offering services and support existing or potential investors.
b)         Increased competitiveness of small and medium enterprises, allowing the renovation and improvement of products and services, and technology that they use, offering based mechanisms to increase the technical capacity and renovation skills.
c)         Encouragement and assistance to exports of goods and services through the provision of support services and providing financial assistance to exporting companies and export promotion. Source: Government
