Agreement on air transport between the Government of Montenegro and the Russian Federation

In Moscow, on the 18th and 19 of March negotiations were held between the delegation of the Montenegrin government and the Russian Federation, aimed at concluding the agreement on international air traffic between the two countries.

Montenegrin government delegation was led by Assistant Minister of Transport Mirel Radic-Ljubisavljević, a delegation of the Russian Federation Deputy Minister of transport Oleg Demidov. A Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the Ministry of Transport, Maritime Affairs and Telecommunications of Montenegro and the Ministry of Transport of the Russian Federation and discussed issues of improving air traffic. 

The countries also agreed  about the regular course of air transportation and licensing promoting the principle of liberalization of air transport, and special attention being paid to issues of safety and security in air traffic. 

This Agreement created a legal framework for conducting and promoting regular air traffic between the two countries, which will contribute to promoting the freedom of the market services, better flow of passengers, goods and capital, and increase of the frequency of flights to Montenegro, creating conditions for increased tourist visits and improving the business environment between the two countries.
