National Banks of Serbia and Albania meet to discuss the deepening of cooperation between the two banks

On 15-16 March 2010, at the invitation of Governor of the Bank of Albania, Mr. Ardian Fullani, National Bank of Serbia, Mr. Radovan Jelasic paid an official visit in Albania.

In the center of discussions in the meeting between the two governors, has been the financial stability of the region, where it is noted that coordination of different macroeconomic policies would help more in regional and European integration. In this context, the governors did an expose of recent macroeconomic developments in the respective countries, focusing on the challenges that these central banks have in terms of financial stability and European integration.

One other important point of discussion among the governors was the deepening of cooperation between the two banks currently is being implemented technical cooperation agreement signed last year, in order to exchange experiences in various areas of Central Banking.

In the framework of official visit, Governor Jelasic held a lecture with the theme "The future will be different from the past! Case of Serbia ". Lesson took place in the lobby of the Bank of Albania, where attended by representatives of the Bank of Albania, leading commercial banks, and teaching staff of various research centers as well as representatives of the Serbian business community in Albania.

In his greeting speech at the opening of this lecture, Fullani Governor said that the situation that has characterized the global economy the last two years has made the necessary deepening of cooperation between central banks in the region. Exchange of information on measures taken, the actions and tactics used, the legal and regulatory modifications has been a very important factor that has helped in coping with various situations that we face during this period. The excellent cooperation between central banks in the region, has created a bed to further increase understanding and cooperation among different countries of the region, giving a concrete contribution in meeting the regional aspiration for integration with the European family.

 

In the framework of this visit was organized and a cultural activity center of which was showing the film 'Honeymoons', a Serbian-Albanian co-directed by Goran Paskaljevic and Goran Paskaljevic scenario and Genc Permet. In this activity, except the Governor of National Bank of Serbia, Mr. Radovan Jelasic and Governor of the Bank of Albania, Mr. Ardian Fullani, was invited and ii Governor Central Bank of Montenegro, Mr. Ljubisa Krgovic and director Goran Paskaljevic.

In greeting their word, the two governors first described the Albanian-Serb, in the field of cinema, as an attempt to see beyond the barriers of the past, with a clear orientation towards the philosophy of regional integration with the rest of Europe.

The film 'Honeymoons' is the winner of many international prizes.

Attending the event were representatives of many of world cinema, from banks and benign areas of art.
