Croatia's Koncar Elektroindustrija to build wind farm

Croatian blue-chip electrical equipment producer Koncar Elektroindustrija said on Wednesday it plans to build a 200 million kuna ($38 million/27.5 million euro) wind farm in the Adriatic town of Split with a total capacity of 17.5 megawatts (MW), local media reported, SeeNews said.

The company has finally secured the necessary building permits and will start the construction of the facility in which Koncar will invest 80 million kuna in cash and will borrow the remainder, business news portal Bankamagazine quoted Koncar CEO Darinko Bago as telling a news conference.

Koncar will install 15 power generating units with a 1.0 MW capacity each and one 2.5 MW power generator, Bankamagazine added.
