Bulgaria: Penalties for illegal financial reports

Individuals who are not entitled to drawing up financial reports but are found to have drawn one up are fined with anywhere between BGN 1,500 and BGN 3,000. Repeated infringements double the amount of the fine. Assigning an independent audit to an auditor who is not registered in the Bulgarian Institute of CPAs is punishable with a fine ranging between BGN 2,000 to BGN 10,000. Repeated offenses result to a fine between BGN 15,000 and BGN 30,000.
