Foreign currency savings saw a year-on-year increase of 5.6 percent or EUR 470 million, and domestic currency savings a year-on-year rise of 32.6 percent or over RSD 5.8 billion in September this year, the National Bank of Serbia (NBS) announced on Thursday.
The NBS analyses suggest that it is still better to save in dinars, as, despite higher interest rates, these savings are not burdened with a tax on the interest rate, such is the case with foreign exchange savings reports Tanjug.
