The Technological Industrial Development Zones (TIDZs) throughout (FYR) Macedonia are expected to create jobs, attract new investments and increase the export, which now stands at EUR 700 million and makes up 20% of (FYR) Macedonia's total export rate, Vice-Premier and Finance Minister Zoran Stavreski said Monday at the opening of a branch office of Ohridska Banka in the TIDZ Bunardzik.
The Government's concept for attracting foreign investments has been fruitful, Stavreski said, pointing out that the TIDZs Skopje 1 and 2 are engaging 1.350 employees, while the one in Stip - 750.
The Ohridska Banka branch office will bring the banking service more accessible to the companies, located in Bunardzik, and bolster the overall activity in this TIDZ.
Bunardzik is well-equipped zone, offering all necessary services to investors, Stavreski said. Listing the companies in Bunradzik, namely Johnson Controls, Johnson Matthey, Kemet Electronics, Tehnohose, Stavreski said that their presence in Macedonia was a result of the Government's efforts to attract foreign investments in the country.
