Serbia's Minister of Foreign Affairs Ivan Mrkic stated that Serbia's goal is to complete its diplomatic presence in the Gulf countries in the Middle East and that it could expect help from Oman in that process.Mrkic spoke on the sidelines of a session of the UN General Assembly in New York with Minister of Foreign Affairs of Oman Yusuf Bin Alawai Bin Abdullah about bilateral relations between the two countries and cooperation in the future.
Yesterday he also met with Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkey Ahmet Davutoglu and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Bosnia-Herzegovina Zlatko Lagumdzija.
At the trilateral meeting it was agreed to examine at the next meeting in Belgrade in December the possibilities of strengthening economic cooperation between Serbia and Turkey, and increasing the country’s investments in Serbia and Bosnia-Herzegovina.
