Serbia's First Deputy Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic said on Wednesday that the government's task is to facilitate and assist each sound investment that makes a profit and employs the citizens of Serbia.
At the opening ceremony for the construction of a wind farm in Plandiste, Vucic said that 300 people will be working on the construction, and added that the infrastructure around Plandiste will be significantly improved.
He announced that the production of green energy will be raised from 21% to 27%, in line with the commitments that our country has taken.
The First Deputy Prime Minister explained that the Oil Industry of Serbia (NIS) today began construction of the first wind farm in Serbia - "Plandište", valued at €160 million.
According to him, the company "NIS Elektrovind", in which NIS has a 50% stake, will be in charge of the project.
Minister of Energy, Development and Environmental Protection Zorana Mihajlovic invited interested parties to apply in order to get all the support to move forward with the construction of new facilities for the production of renewable energy.
