Speaking to reporters on the sidelines of the unveiling ceremony of the bust of the hero Stavros Stylianides in Episkopeio, Cyprus President of the Republic Mr Nicos Anastasiades, invited to refer to the upcoming meeting in the U.S. with U.S. Vice President Joseph Biden, said: "I believe it is an important meeting which creates all the opportunities to discuss in depth our own views on the Cyprus problem and the contribution which the U.S. Government can have. Furthermore, President of the Republic, invited to comment on the reaction of the Turkish side to the proposal on Famagusta, said: "What I can say is that if a new dynamic to the Cyprus problem is not created by really bold initiatives by Turkey, I do not see that hope will revive or how it would be possible to hope for a speedy solution of the Cyprus problem.
