Bulgaria's consumer price index was 99.4% in August 2013 compared to July 2013 , i.e. the monthly inflationwas -0.6%. The inflation rate since the beginning of the year (August 2013 compared to December 2012) had been -2.2% and the annual inflation in August 2013 compared to August 2012 was -0.7% (Figure 1 and Annex, Table 1). The annual average inflation, measured by CPI, in the last 12 months (September 2012 - August 2013) compared to the previous 12 months (September 2011 - August 2012) was 2.9% reports Bulgaria's statistical agency.
