Serbia's Prime Minister Ivica Dacic and President of the Senate of Canada Noel Kinsella assessed at a meeting that there is a mutual interest in improving cooperation between Serbia and Canada.
Canada supports reform and Serbia's European path and stands for rapid development of economic cooperation.
There are more than 50 Canadian companies doing business in Serbia and the Canadian economy is interested in investing in energy, mining, agriculture, food industry and infrastructure.
In the first six months of this year, trade between Serbia and Canada has increased by nearly 50%, and a significant increase in exports from Serbia to Canada is expected in coming months.
Promoting cooperation in the field of education is also expected, it was agreed reports the Serbian Government.
