According to provisional data for the period from January to July 2013 compared to the same period of 2012 Slovenian exports increased by 2.3% while imports decreased by 0.1%; the export/import ratio was 97.6%.
Increase in exports and imports compared to July 2012
In July 2013 Slovenia exported goods worth EUR 1,902.4 million and imported goods worth EUR 1,884.5 million, which means that exports represented 100.9% of imports. In July 2013 exports, given in EUR, was 7.0% higher than in July 2012, while imports exceeded the July 2012 value of imports by 2.8%.
Slovenia’s exports to EU Member States in July 2013 worth over EUR 1 billion
The value of trade with EU Member States amounted to EUR 1,422.2 million for dispatches (74.8% of total exports) and EUR 1,508.9 million for arrivals (80.1% of total imports). As regards trade with EU non-member countries, Slovenia exported goods worth EUR 480.2 million and imported goods worth EUR 375.7 million.
Increase in exports and decrease in imports in the first seven months of 2013 over the same period of 2012
According to provisional data for the first seven months of 2013 Slovenia's exports amounted to EUR 12,697.6 million (an increase by 2.3% compared to the same period of 2012), while imports amounted to EUR 13,011.4 million (a decrease by 0.1% compared to the same period of 2012). The external trade deficit amounted to EUR 313.8 million and the export/import ratio was 97.6% reports Slovenia's statistical office.
