Serbian PM Ivica Dačić opened in Vlasotince, a town in southern Serbia, a new plant of German factory "Elrad", which has employed another 55 workers. After the opening ceremony, which was attended by company owner Sieghard Lang as well, Dačić assesssed that Vlasotince can become the centre of electronic industry in southern Serbia. The investment has multiple importance as we hope that, after German companies "Elrad" and "Gruner", and Italian company "Fiorentino", other foreign companies will come to southern Serbia, said the PM. Such foreign investments are very significant for employment rate growth and the economic situation in southern Serbia, he said. Some 400 Vlasotince locals have been employed in Elrad since 2004, in the field of production of parts for electronic devices, and the newly-opened plant will be producing parts for all cable types reports the Serbian Government.
