According to the data of the Statistical Office in Serbia, industrial production rose 2.0% in July, up by 12.5% y-o-y. Manufacturing gained 11.2% y-o-y, and sectors of mining and electricity, gas and steam supply grew 2.2% and 22.2% respectively.
July growth in manufacturing was 0.7% s-a. Food production, motor vehicles and other manufacturing activities gave the key boost to total industry. The strongest negative contribution came from tobacco production.
As indicated by Statistical Office data, Serbia's retail trade fell 4.0% y-o-y, in real terms in July.
Serbia's Commodity exports reached their record high of EUR 1.1 bln in July, covering imports by as much as 81%. Under Statistical Office s-a data, euro-denominated exports rose 8.2% and imports fell 0.5% relative to June. Y-o-y, euro exports and imports gained 44.3% and 7.9% respectively.
