FYR Macedonia's wheat market is stabilizing and conditions have been created for abolishing the import restrictions, which will become invalid on September 2, FYR Macedonia's Government spokesman Aleksandar Gjorgjiev said on Wednesday.
"About 95 percent of the domestic (wheat) production has been sold, creating conditions for withdrawing the protective measure,” Gjorgiev said.
Processes for stabilizing the flour market are wrapping up and it is expected for the flour import restrictions to be also abolished in the first half of September, Gjorgiev said.
According to him, the measures were adopted in line with national and international law in order to protect the domestic market.
"We believe they contributed to stabilizing the market and eliminated challenges for any possible disturbance," added Gjorgjiev.
He extended gratitude to all reports the FYR Macedonian Government
