Greece will need further €77 billion, Carsten Schneider, budgetary policy spokesman for the Social Democratic Party of Germany, said basing his estimates on a recent analysis by the troika of international creditors: the EU, the European Central Bank (ECB) and the International Monetary Fund (IMF). According to Mr Schneider, Greece needs the money until 2020, Monitor daily writes. The country will have to receive €11 billion by 2015 because of its weak economic growth and low privatisation revenue. Meanwhile, Moody’s rating agency noted progress in the periphery of the euro area, including Greece, Spain, Italy, Cyprus, Portugal and Ireland. However, this progress will not be enough to bring about long-term economic growth before 2016-2017, the agency projects reports Focus Fen.
