Serbia's First Deputy Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic said that the Serbian athletes have become role models and idols of young people in our country, and added that they showed that only a small amount of money and personal effort can bring results.
Vucic received Serbian athletes who achieved outstanding results at the World Championships in Moscow and a delegation of the Serbian Athletic Association.
He expressed his gratitude to everyone who helped Ivana Spanovic and Emir Bekric win the bronze medals in this competition.
The First Deputy Prime Minister expressed his hope that the athletes will bring more medals in the future and announced greater state support to athletics.
The delegation of the Serbian Athletic Association was led by President Veselin Jevrosimovic and General Secretary Slobodan Brankovic.
Apart from Spanovic and Bekric, also attending the reception were Asmir Kolasinac, Tatjana Jelaca and Amela Terzic.
