Serbia's SIEPA has approved its export promotion grants to local companies totaling RSD 225 mil as part of its Program for Competitiveness Support and Serbian Economy Internationalization Program. A total of 340 exporters, 5 exporters-beginners and 8 associations have received these funds for activities that have taken, or to take part from January - December 1, 2013. As SIEPA Director Mr. Bozidar Laganin said, funds are approved based on reimbursement of 50-75% of actual costs, VAT excluded. The Program is implemented since 2006 and over 2,000 companies approved more than RSD 700 mil in grants, participated. “In this, 14th round of Program’s implementation, a record number of 470 exporters, 13 exporters-beginners and 9 business associations have applied”. For reminders, the Program provides funds for activities such as independent exhibition, certification, product internationalization, branch office set up at foreign markets. This year for the first time, reimbursement of expenses for intellectual property and software product localization was introduced in the Program as a special benefit for exporters-beginners. SIEPA
