First Marriott hotel for Serbia to be built in Belgrade

Balkans.com Business News Correspondent - 06.05.2013

Belgrade Serbia should get its first Marriott hotel by the end of this year or the beginning of 2014, the latest. People at PSP Farman Beograd, a local member of the PSP Farman holding, say that all designs are done. “Given that the planning standards for the central city zone are very strict, we must keep our facility within the current size limits”, says Ana Ristic, marketing manager at PSP Farman Beograd. That means that there will be no annexes to the building, but only serious operations on the interior. The façade will also be completely new. This is an investment worth €25 million and the four-star hotel is expected to employ about 100 people, once completed. The building will have seven floors and two underground stories. Courtyard by Marriott Belgrade City Center Hotel in Serbia, which is its full name, will feature 114 rooms, lobby and a reception desk on the ground floor, restaurant with the view of the central city square on the first floor, as well as a cafe bar, club and a meeting hall. There will also be a gym on one of the underground floors Source; SIEPA
