Serbian police have found a Rembrandt painting stolen seven years ago from a museum in Novi Sad, the director of police confirmed Monday, dpa reported.
Four people were arrested in connection with the theft of the 28-by-22.5-centimetre work Portrait of Rembrandt's Father from 1630, state television RTS reported.
The theft occurred at the Novi Sad City Museum in January 2006. Two armed robbers tied up a guard and stole the Rembrandt along with three other paintings, including Seneca by Rubens.
