Swedish aerospace and defence firm Saab has been awarded a $2.4 million contract to deliver its deployable instrumented training system (DITS) for the Bulgarian Army, the company said in a statement reports Sofia Echo.

The contract includes the delivery of a mechanised company sized system with 95 infantry sets and 10 BMP vehicles kits to be fielded in 2012. The funding is provided under the foreign military sales (FMS) programme of the US army's Program Executive Office of Simulation, Training and Instrumentation
