The government of Republika Srpska, an entity of Bosnia and Herzegovina, resigned on Wednesday, according to local media reports.

The Republika Srpska assembly voted 63 to 4 with 2 abstentions to accept the resignation. Prime Minister Alexander Dzombic said after the voting that his government struggled under a difficult situation due to the global economic crisis.

Dzombic earlier in the day proposed that the government quit at the request of President Milorad Dodik. The two met on Tuesday to discuss candidates of new prime minister and other ministers.
