The Macedonia-Hungary joint committee on economic cooperation held Tuesday its first session, focusing on presentation of FYR Macedonia's investment benefits and projects of mutual interest, MIA reports from Budapest.
The session was co-chaired by Economy Minister Valon Saraqini and Hungary's State Secretary for Foreign Affairs and External Economic Relations Peter Szijjarto.
"We referred to increase of trade exchange and Hungarian investments in the fields of energy, agriculture, tourism and minerals. Projects related to gas distribution, infrastructure, hydro-plants were reviewed. The Hungarian officials will brief their companies on Macedonia's investment benefits and give them a timeframe for feedback", said Minister Saraqini after the committee meeting.
According to him, a Hungarian business delegation will pay a visit to Macedonia by the end of May, aimed towards increasing trade exchange and detailing of projects.
"We also talked about the opening of direct WizzAir flight Skopje-Budapest, as well as charter flights by the largest Hungarian tour-operator to Macedonia", added Saraqini. Source; BSANNA
