Fiat Automobiles Serbia is biggest exporter from the country

Balkans.com Business News Correspondent - 19.02.2013

Serbia's Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior Ivica Dacic stated that Fiat Automobiles Serbia in Kragujevac is biggest exporter from the country. During a tour of the factory, where a prototype model of "Fiat" 500 L with seven seats premiered today, Dacic announced that in April, during his visit to the Russian Federation, he will discuss the possibilities that Fiat's cars are sold in that market duty free.
The Prime Minister said that during the visit, he will talk about the strategic partnership between the two countries.
He pointed out that Serbia owns one-third of the factory, and stressed that the success of Fiat is Serbia's success too.
Dacic recalled that the Serbian government aims to create political preconditions for Serbia to become an EU member and to get a date to start negotiations on membership in the Union, continue internal reform and resolve the issue of Kosovo-Metohija.
New jobs, higher salaries and pensions and a higher standard are also our goals, the Prime Minister said.
According to him, Fiat is now the largest exporter in Serbia, there are hundreds of other companies that work for Fiat, from which Kragujevac benefits, and it is not just about employing people, but also promoting the city's image in the world. Source; Gov
