KazMunaiGaz, the companys main shareholder, has reached an agreement with the government to buy back an unspecified stake in Rompetrol Rafinare.

Currently, the Romanian state holds a 44.7% stake in RRC. No further details have been made public yet. However, according to media, the states stake is expected to decrease down to 10%.
