Slovenia's average monthly gross earnings for December 2012 amounted to EUR 1,534.54. Compared to November 2012, they were lower by 4.8%. The decrease in earnings is mainly a consequence of lower extra payments (they were mostly paid out with earnings for November 2012). Average monthly net earnings for December 2012 amounted to EUR 1,000.21 and were 3.4% lower than net earnings for November 2012.
Compared to 2011, Slovenia's average monthly earnings for 2012 increased slightly in nominal terms (gross earnings by 0.1% and net earnings by 0.4%), but, if we consider the rise in the general level of prices, they decreased in real terms (gross earnings by 2.4% and net earnings by 2.1%).
The difference in average monthly gross earnings by legal persons in the public sector and legal persons in the private sector is decreasing Compared to 2011, average monthly gross earnings by legal persons in the public sector for 2012 amounted to EUR 1,762.88; compared to 2011 they fell by 0.9%. On the other hand, average monthly gross earnings by legal persons in the private sector for 2012 increased by 0.5% and amounted to EUR 1,395.84.
As regards activities, the highest average monthly gross earnings for 2012 in electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply, as regards statistical regions the highest average monthly gross earnings for 2012 in Osrednjeslovenska Average monthly gross earnings for 2012 were the highest in electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply (EUR 2,215.83) and in financial and insurance activities (EUR 2,183.03) and the lowest in administrative and support service activities (991.65 EUR) and in accommodation and food service activities (EUR 1,088.18).
