Montenegro's Prime Minister Milo Đukanović met with Ambassador Robert S. Gelbard, a US diplomat and an international economic consultant. The meeting discussed the current political and economic circumstances in Montenegro and in the region.
Ambassador Gelbard pointed out that Montenegro has achieved a notable progress in the EU and NATO integration and commended Montenegro’s efforts in implementing the required reforms.
The two officials agreed that Montenegro's development opportunities include the strengthening of economic stability and providing incentives to investors. They also underlined the significance of the energy sector and the possibility for investments through the research in new sources of energy.
PM Đukanović and Ambassador Gelbard exchanged views about the current trends in Euro-Atlantic accession in the region, underlining that the Western Balkans’ future lies in integration that provides safety and stability.
