Bosnia-Herzegovina records 4.27% credit growth in 2012

According to the statistics from the BiH Central Bank, credit growth in BiH in 2012 was 4.27 percent.
However, it is not enough for a dynamic recovery of the sector, and it is expected that there would be greater credit lending from banks this year.
At the end of 2012 the total loans from the banking sector amounted to 15.73 billion KM. The total number of long-term loans was 11.48 billion KM, and short-term loans were 4.25 billion KM.
Loans to the non-governmental sector amounted to 14.92 billion KM, and of which 14.06 billion KM went to the private sector.
From the total private sector credits to households it amounted to 6.79 billion KM, while loans to businesses was 7.27 billion KM.
