The European Parliament Foreign Policy Committee adopted by majority of votes the final version of the resolution on Serbia’s progress on its European course in 2012. With 2 members who abstained and 2 votes against it, 61 members voted for the draft resolution on Serbia, prepared by Rapporteur Jelko Kacin in December 2012, after most of 200 amendments were adopted. The draft strongly supports Serbia on its European course, and the European Council appeals that a start date of the accession talks is set for Serbia as soon as possible. The European Parliament will adopt the resolution at a plenary session in March.
