The Finance Ministry is working on a new system that will reveal the “profiles of taxpayers” in order to increase tax income by insuring all pay precisely what is required in line with their income.
The new system will probe the payment behaviors of taxpayers based on data obtained from other related public bodies. The research will reveal “specific solutions for each profile” that aims to determine the tax amount that should be paid in parallel with taxpayers’ income. The new road map seeks to reduce tax evasion by insuring every single taxpayer pays the required amount.
As part of the new measures, a database for taxpaying profiles will be created with information from tax offices, taxpayers and third parties. Also, those who fail to pay their taxes on time will be identified and forced to pay by a new technological system, Hurriyet Daily reports.
