Tire recycling plant to be installed Bosnia-Herzegovina's Tešanj municipality

Balkans.com Business News Correspondent - 06.02.2013

A plant for recycling old car tires will be installed in the newly-built industrial zone ‘Vila’, from which fuel and gas will be produced to a world market that is increasingly asking for carbon, according to FTV.
The investment company SGI International is worth around 7 million KM, and its work on this project will get around 30 workers.
‘’The first phase will employ 10 workers, and with that we intend to employ 20 people in the second and third year, says Kerim Muhamed Zupćević, Director of SGI International.
Municipality Tešanj wants to preserve the environment, and they do not expect problems in this area. Investors have also given their assurance.
‘’On the contrary, we expect positive results. Apart from new jobs, we expect that the waste that is found in this area will be recycled and reused for new energy sources, says Suad Huskić, mayor of Tešanj.
SGI International says that air emissions from the facility are less than the emissions of one household that uses coal for heat.
The installation of the facility will begin in the spring.
