Business entrepreneurs will flock the Bulgaria to invest and to receive Bulgarian citizenship, according to Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister, Simeon Djankov.
The Minister spoke Thursday from the central city of Sliven where he is on a visit to inspect the new production facilities of a large textile factory.
He said in recent years investors have shown significant interest in two sectors – software manufacturing and logistics – since Bulgarian experts can compete on global level.
Another sector attracting investors' interest is the production of spare automobile parts, which is concentrating mainly near the second largest city of Plovdiv.
Djankov further informed that in 2012 six large companies have expressed such interest, and by the end of this year at least one, even two, internationally renowned companies, could launch manufacturing of cars and other types of vehicles in Bulgaria.
"We are observing a new wave of investors, mainly from the US, stating large investment intentions in wanting to be granted Bulgarian citizenship. These companies are mainly in the financial sector. I hope this will indeed happen. This is a high-technology sector that opens opportunities to develop secondary businesses," Djankov said, Novinite reports.
