According to Premier Victor Ponta, there will be no majority stake privatization for CE Oltenia, but a 12% stake will be listed on BSE. Premier Ponta also announced that the government wants to double the registered capital of the CE Hunedoara through a public offer for private companies and after to list the newly-issued shares on the stock exchange. The IMFs letter of intent reveals that the government agreed with the IMF to sell the majority stake of CE Hunedoara in May-June. If no investor shows interest then the company will file for insolvency. The Romanian Mail Company will be privatized through a capital increase by mid-June, the tender announcement set to be published by the end of February, on condition the procedure is approved by the European Commission.
