Bulgaria's business climate drops 3.2% in January m/m

Bulgaria's business climate in January worsened by 3.2% as compared to the previous month, according to the country's National Statistical Institute.

The "business climate in industry" indicator decreased by 1.9% in comparison with the previous month which was due to the managers' more moderate assessments about the present business situation of the enterprises. The inquiry registered a decrease in production activity and production assurance with orders.

The "business climate in construction" indicator preserved its December level.

The "business climate in retail trade" indicator decreased by 12.2% in comparison with the previous month.

The "business climate in the service sector" indicator did not change significantly as compared to December, Novinite reports.
