Bosnia and Herzegovina records over 700,000 tourists in 2012

From January to November of last year, 700,402 tourists visited BiH, which is an increase of 9.5 percent in comparison to the same period in 2011.
According to statistics for the Agency for Statistics of BiH, tourists accounted for 1,550,297 overnight stays, which is 9.5 percent higher than in the same period in 2011.
Last year in November, 48,761 tourists visited BiH, which is 29 percent lower in comparison to October, and by 7.9 percent higher than in November 2011.
Tourists accounted for 99,750 overnight stays, which is 30.1 percent lower in comparison to October, and is 4.9 percent higher than in November 2011.
This decrease in comparison to October resulted in a significantly lower number of overnight stays of tourists by 39.4 percent.
The most overnight stays in November is from tourists from Croatia at 27.9 percent, 14.8 percent in Serbia, and 7.6 percent in Slovenia, while tourists from other countries made up 49.7 percent of overnight stays.
When it comes to the length of stays by foreign tourists in BiH, in first place are Icelanders, with an average stay of 4.5 days, followed by Iranians and Irish.
