Despite sizeable inflows to the bond and equity market, total standard portfolio channels displayed a net outflow of USD 0.2bn last week hit by the Eurobond market.
Foreign investors were net buyers of USD 410.8mn in the local bond market during the week of January 18. Accordingly, cumulative inflows have reached USD 1.9bn so far this year in the bond market.
The inflows to the equity market also gained speed and there was a net inflow of USD 268.3mn during the week of January 18. There have been USD 0.5bn in inflows into the equity market so far this year.
On the other hand, a week after the bulky inflow of USD 1.3bn, Eurobonds suffered a net outflow of USD 877mn during the week of January 18. This has lowered y-t-d net inflows to USD 0.2bn into this market.
