Plamen Grozdanov, Executive Director of the Made in Bulgaria Union, has argued that only 10% of the goods sold in the country are locally produced. In an interview for the Bulgaria on Air TV, he suggested that the statistics showed the tough situation of Bulgarian producers.
Grozdanov noted that the large growth in import had been caused by the lack of clear rules for doing business in Bulgaria, the poor business climate, and the policies of large chains of stores, Novinite reports.
