Serbian Deputy Prime Minister for European Integration Suzana Grubjesic stated in Brussels that Serbia is encouraged by positive opinions and the proposal of resolution of the European Parliament which envisages giving Serbia a date for the start of accession negotiations with the EU.
Grubjesic, who attended a session of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the European Parliament whose members discussed the proposal of the resolution on Serbia which should be adopted in spring, underlined that Serbia is encouraged by the opinions of European parliamentarians. This refers particularly to the speech of Rapporteur for Serbia Jelko Kacin, who gave a positive evaluation of Serbia’s progress in European integration. She voiced hope that other institutions of the EU will also recognise the results of work of the Serbian government, just as members of the European Parliament did today.
