Serbia's Minister of Natural Resources, Mining and Spatial Planning Milan Bacevic will be on an official visit to China on 21-27 January.
During his stay in Beijing, Bacevic will meet with Chinese officials and representatives of companies that showed interest in cooperation or strategic partnership in the realisation of the project of construction of the Belgrade-Thessaloniki navigation channel. This infrastructure project is important not only for Serbia and the Balkans, but wider as well, since the channel should pass through Serbia, then further through the FYR Macedonia to the port of Thessaloniki in Greece. During the visit, the agreement on the signing of a protocol of understanding with the Chinese state company ''China Gezhouba Group Corporation'' will be made, on the basis of which a feasibility study for the project will be worked out.
