Slovenia's BISOL Group records 22% production increase y/y

Balkans.com Business News Correspondent - 10.01.2013

BISOL Group manufactured 22 per cent more PV modules last year compared to 2011. This year the European producer of premium quality solar solutions plans to complete automation of its manufacturing facility and to expand into new emerging markets.

BISOL Group, one of the leading European based manufacturers of premium quality photovoltaic modules and other solar solutions, recorded a 22 per cent increase of manufactured PV modules last year compared to 2011. As the company is active in the field of engineering, procurement and construction of whole PV plants one of the main achievements in 2012 has been an international contract worth 8 million euros to develop a turnkey solar power plant in Kazakhstan.

In the past year, BISOL Group has initiated extensive investment in automation of its manufacturing facility, which will be completed at the beginning of this year. Modernisation of the company’s state-of-the-art production began last summer and will increase the production capacity by almost 10 per cent. In 2012, the company developed and launched several new solar products, including the off-grid system for energy self-sufficiency,BISOL EasyMount polyethylene bases 200, performance monitoring service and highly efficient PV modules with anti-reflecting glass.

Chairman of the Board, dr. Uroš Merc, pointed out: “Crucial for BISOL Group and other European manufactures in 2013 will be the decision by European Commission regarding the anti-dumping investigation on Chinese solar panel imports. The solar energy will become even more competitive compared to the electricity generated by conventional energy sources andgrid parity will be achieved in many countries. BISOL Group will continue its internal cost consolidation and implementation of new products and technological improvements in terms of offering comprehensive photovoltaic solutions.” This year even greater emphasis will be on sustainable development, the renewables and using affordable and eco-friendly energy. “The shift to green future will continue and hence become crucial for raising public awareness, stressing the facts about photovoltaic systems and their impact on lowering electricity prices for end-users,” added Merc.

BISOL Group is constantly reaffirming its competitive position in existing markets and expanding into new ones. In the past year, the company entered the markets of the former Yugoslavia and South-Eastern Europe; it also obtained the necessary certificates to enter the US, Canadian and Australian markets. This year they plan to increase their international activities and expand the sales network; BISOL sales activities will be supported at 11 international trade fairs. BISOL Group will traditionally begin the new trade season by presenting its solar solutions at InterSOLUTION trade fair in Belgium, taking place from January 23 to January 25.
