Russian President Vladimir Putin and Serbian President Tomislav Nikolic expressed satisfaction with successful development of bilateral cooperation and contacts on various levels.
The Russian President’s website reads that in a telephone conversation, Nikolic and Putin pointed to a remarkable increase of mutual trade - by 80% - and, discussed realization of the most important project in the energy sector – gas pipeline South Stream, as well as those in infrastructural, credit-financial, metallurgic, and other sectors. The presidents exchanged the most cordial wishes for the coming year. According to the announcement, the conversation was held upon initiative of the Serb side.
