French oil producer Expur wants to build a 95,000 tonnes silo in Slobozia, near the company's factory, in an investment effort worth almost five million Euro, according to Ziarul Financiar. When completed, the project will double Expur’s storage capacity to about 200,000 tonnes. 
The company owns several silos and warehouses near the Slobozia factory, where it can process up to 380,000 tonnes of sunflower and rape seed per year. Expur was founded in 1972 and is now owned by French Sofiproteol group, which has 6,000 employees and a 5.5 billion Euro turnover.
