Romania can be a good example for the countries seeking EU accession

bne - 31.10.2012

It is important that despite the current financial crisis, the EU enlargement process should go on, and Romania can be a good example for the countries seeking EU accession, visiting EU Commissioner for Enlargement Stefan Fule, said at the Bucharest-based Parliament Palace, on Monday, Agerpres reported.

'Despite the coming Parliamentary elections, those whom I met are ready to discuss not only the connection with the internal challenges, but also how Romania could contribute to the regional development, peace, prosperity and stability in the Balkans and the Eastern Partnership. We also talked about how important is, that despite the current financial crisis, the (EU - editor's note) enlargement process should continue,' the EU Commissioner for Enlargement and Neighborhood Policy Stefan Fule said in the end of his meeting with the members of the Romanian Parliament's Commissions for European Affairs and Foreign Policy.

'For all,' Fule answered when asked for which countries having perspectives to join the EU, Romania is an example.

He added that the most important thing is that countries like Romania are ready to support the EU Commission to come
