The Governor of the Central Bank of Bosnia and Herzegovina Kemal Kozarić has stated that the B&H currency Konvertibilna marka (KM) is stable and in no danger.

According to him, the world is facing the double bottom of recession, which has an indirect influence over B&H, but that the citizens are more affected by domestic politics and economical crisis.
 
”Bosnian citizens don't need to worry about the KM. It is 100 percent covered by a secure currency. There is no danger that the KM is going to lose its worth and be at risk”, Kozarić said.
 
He also said that B&h citizens that have loans which are connected to the Euro, which is about 70 percent of all loans, “can be calm” because the countries of the EU have worked hard on developing this currency and will do everything to sustain it.
 
Kozarić said to Avaz that B&H “is making thing worse for itself”.
 
“Instead of doing anything we can in our own backyard, and we can form the Council of Ministers of BiH and start project and reforms which are on hold. We can gain a candidate status for the EU with minimal arrangement, but there is almost no progress. These are the thing that are going to benefit all of the citizens”.
