Balkans.com: How long has Infomedia been doing business in Bosnia?
Ana Jovović: We have been doing business in Bosnia since 2000. Back then, we were a graphic and web design studio called Artsidestudio. In April 2006, we formed a company for information technologies, Infomedia Ltd, and since then we have been successfully developing our company. We have seven full time employees and four part-time associates. Also, we have partner companies in Serbia and Slovenia.
Balkans.com: What is the most effective marketing campaign you have implemented in the region?
Ana Jovović: Our most effective and therefore most important project is related to the www.capital.ba business portal. We did complete design and content management, service implementation, and after that started a comprehensive marketing campaign that is still running. The campaign was implemented according to four basic principles required for any high-quality web site:
- Content is king (which means that our client is providing good and up-to-date information)
- SEO (Search engine optimization)
- Listen to readers (adding content according to readers requests)
- Internet marketing (newsletter, mobile site, Facebok profile and Twitter account)
Balkans.com: What is your latest project?
Ana Jovović: Our latest project is www.internetmarketing.ba. Our company recognized great possibilities in that field of marketing, so after detailed and complex market research we started the project. There is no doubt that IT is the industry of the future, so the only logical step was to adjust our marketing activities to that industry. Therefore, we are offering complete Internet marketing campaigns to our clients, including Google Adwords, Facebook Ads, as well as campaigns on other web portals. The essential idea is to give our clients the possibility to choose where, to whom and how much they want to advertise. Also, I would like to mention another of our projects, related to domains registration, www.registracijadomena.ba which is not the latest but certainly one of our most successful projects.
Balkans.com: Who are your competitors in the region and elsewhere?
Ana Jovović: I couldn't now name any concrete one, but every company that is related to IT services and internet marketing and takes its job seriously we consider to be our competition. As long as it is healthy competition we are glad to have it. We never make a difference between small and large companies, and always have the same, correct relationship with our competitors.
Balkans.com: Which industries or sectors do you find most promising in terms of growth and sustainability?
Ana Jovović: I can only talk about IT-related industries and services, and I would definitely say SMS services including SMS marketing and also internet marketing. I must point out that I am talking about Bosnia and Herzegovina and countries of the region. That is for sure the most growing sector of IT and that is why we in Infomedia decided to specialize in that field. Also we are expecting growth in the field of web presentation and application development because in this sector Bosnia and Herzegovina is well behind Europe and western world countries in general.
Balkans.com: Our readers are investors already present or about to launch a business in the region. What advice do you have for them?
Ana Jovović: The most important thing is to be certain where they want to invest, and by where I mean in which industry and/or sector. Than, one must make a proper and detailed market analysis, and, finally, carefully choose serious and experienced companies for their partners. I think it is best for investors to use existing companies that they find most suitable, and thereby make long-term and profitable partnerships.
